I REALLY love this!! This names exactly what I am existing in right now with the nonprofit I currently work for, and the systems change work I was actually hired to do. The cycle-break IS the leverage point where you decide to EXIT the loop (not chopping off the head), but shifting entirely into a different (generative, rehumanizing) cycle by doing the RIGHT root work, in interdependent relationship & collective wisdom, to change the whole m’fin thing. I have SO MUCH to say in what continuously amounts to a “somatic system snapback” to status quo (repeat cycles of harm) by folks in power positions when confronted with evidence that in order to cycle-break the harm, they themselves actually have to change BECAUSE they are a part of the interdependent ecosystem.
