Joy is often viewed as a fleeting emotion—something we stumble upon in moments of celebration or relief. But what if joy were more than that? What if joy were a liberatory force, a radical act of resistance, and a compass guiding us toward the life we long for?

In this fourth installment of the Liberation in Progress series, we shift our focus to joy. In Part 3: Healing in Community, we explored the transformative power of connection and how collective care fuels liberation. Now, we turn inward, exploring how joy becomes a revolutionary act of self-care and connection in the face of internalized oppression and systemic challenges.

Together, we’ll uncover how joy can serve as a liberatory force, why it matters, and how to invite it into our lives.
